After breakfast, take a one-hour drive to visit Huaxi Yelang Valley (approx. 1-hour tour). Located on a mountaintop, the valley preserves the ruins of the ancient Yelang fortress. It blends mountains, water, and forest into a unique karst landscape composed of strange peaks and rocks. The site features stone buildings, ceramics, and sculptures, creating an atmosphere rich in artistic charm.
Next, head to Qingyan Ancient Town (Please note: scenic shuttle ¥20/person and insurance ¥5/person are at your own expense. Estimated visiting time: approx. 2 hours).
Qingyan is a renowned historic town and a national 5A-rated scenic spot. Built in 1378 during the Ming Dynasty, it’s famous for its dense collection of ancient buildings, well-preserved traditional residences, and strong cultural atmosphere. It was also a filming location for the movie "A World Without Thieves."
Wander along the town’s old cobblestone alleys, soak in the scholarly ambiance of the “Top Scholar’s Mansion,” and savor a bite of the famous marinated pig’s trotter. Enjoy some leisure time and taste the town’s signature snacks, such as:
-
Scholar's Pork Knuckle

Sweet Rice Cake Porridge

Rose Jelly

DAY 3: Anshun / Huangguoshu – Huangguoshu Scenic Area (Tianxing Bridge + Doupotang + Grand Waterfall) – Hotel Check-in
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight Stay: Duyun / Libo
After breakfast, take a drive to visit the Huangguoshu Scenic Area.
(Note: Scenic area shuttle bus ¥50/person and insurance ¥10/person are not included and must be paid separately. Optional round-trip escalator ¥50/person is not mandatory and can be purchased at your own discretion.)
The Huangguoshu Scenic Area includes three main sites:
-
Huangguoshu Grand Waterfall Area
-
Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area
-
Doupotang Scenic Area
Start by exploring the Huangguoshu Grand Waterfall (approx. 2 hours) — the largest waterfall in Asia. Behind the roaring falls lies the famous Water-Curtain Cave, stretching over 130 meters long and offering a thrilling view from inside the waterfall itself.
Next, visit the Doupotang Scenic Area (approx. 1 hour), known for its 105-meter-wide cascade and featured in the closing scene of the classic TV series "Journey to the West", where the monk and disciples cross the river.
Finally, explore the Tianxing Bridge Scenic Area (approx. 2 hours), also known as a "natural bonsai garden" for its stunning water-eroded stone forests and scenic trails over water. Depending on your physical ability, you may choose to walk the full route or only part of it.
After the tour, proceed to your hotel for check-in.
DAY 4: Duyun / Libo – Xiaoqikong Scenic Area – Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village · Night Tour
Meals: Breakfast
Overnight Stay: Xijiang
After breakfast, take a drive to visit the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area (approx. 6-hour tour).
(Note: Scenic shuttle bus ¥40/person and insurance ¥10/person are not included and must be paid separately. Optional Yuanyang Lake boat ride ¥30/person is not mandatory and can be purchased at your own discretion.)
Named after the “Xiaoqikong Bridge”, a small seven-arch stone bridge built in 1836 during the Qing Dynasty, this area is known as a "super bonsai landscape." It brings together mountains, rivers, caves, forests, lakes, and waterfalls all within a compact area.
The nearly 2-kilometer-long canyon features 68 cascading waterfalls, including the elegant Laya Waterfall, where water droplets sparkle in the air. The Water Forest, just under 600 meters long, is a magical trail where tree roots grip mossy rocks and crystal-clear streams flow gently underfoot — like walking through a fairyland.
After the tour, drive to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village.
(Note: Village shuttle buses ¥20/person and insurance ¥10/person are not included.)
In the evening, enjoy a night tour of Xijiang. You can visit popular photo spots and classic travel photography locations, or head to the viewing platform for panoramic night views of this enchanting Miao village.
Other options include sipping tea by the riverside, relaxing in a cozy riverside bar, lounging on a traditional "Beauty Bench," or admiring the layered stilted wooden houses. Listen to the locals share stories of their village life.
You’ll have plenty of time to explore Xijiang — perfect for travel photography enthusiasts, who may even choose to book a local photo session.
